June 2020:
It makes me so happy to see so many of you joining me for our Virtual Fitness Classes. It is critical that we try to keep close as we can to our normal routine and maintain our daily activity. Not only are we strengthening our bodies; we are also helping our minds.
We have continued to halt our in-person classes at Harbor Fitness Studio. We are however offering up to 30 online fitness classes per week for you. You only sign up once for the pass. Then you enter any online class you want.
You can work from home and view instruction on your device. Some classes will utilize equipment such as dumbbells, gliders, balls and resistance bands. I will advise you on some common household items that can be used if you do not have equipment at home or you can participate using body weight.
Exercise is important to keep our bodies feeling well and to maximize our quality of life. It also has a proven positive impact on mental health. Because of Coronavirus, we face minimized social contact with others. It’s still important that we keep moving, for our physical and emotional health.
